so, gustav has passed us by. all we ended up getting was a little water in the apartment from the rain, some damage to the outside of the house, 18 hours with no power, and tons of debris and fallen trees. could have been soooo much worse. i know that there are areas that were hit much, much harder, but we were largely spared.

here are just some of the pics i took when i ventured out into the crazy gusting winds to see what was up (seriously, i actually fell over a few times from the force of the winds).
