ugh
as some of you may know august and september are the worst months for hurricanes (does anyone remember 29 august 2005? there was a little storm that hit us on that day. it wasn't fun). so, after months of an uneventful hurricane season it is now begining to pick up (god help us). we now officially have out first scary hurricane in the atlantic that might be headed this way. hurricane dean is going to get us (maybe, it's too early to tell quite yet) and i'm not happy about it. they say that this crazy storm could end up becoming a category 4 (which would put it on par with katrina). keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't come this way. stay cool (and hopefully dry).

Didn't Katrina make landfall on your birthday? It will be hard to top that one.
no, katrina made landfall the day after my birthday. my birthday itself was evacuation day (which, in my opinion, is much worse- 20 hours in a car to austin...uuughhh)
